This includes no chains or strictly outdoor housing is permitted. If the puppy or dog is found to be housed outdoors in a kennel 24/7, chained or tethered 24/7 in any way, the breeder will take immediate possession of the dog/puppy, and everything is void. Home must have a minimum 4 ½ foot tall fenced yard, use an underground fence, or walked several times a day on a leash. The dog must live in a clean environment, kept as an indoor dog, and have constant access to food and fresh clean water daily.

‍ ‍

4.      If the purchaser is unable to keep this puppy/dog, the breeder will be informed immediately. The breeder will then assist the purchaser to find a new home for this puppy/dog. However, the breeder will be given first opportunity to take ownership without compensation of the puppy/dog. Health GUARANTEE

‍ ‍

The puppy is guaranteed to be of sound health upon arrival and not harboring a life-threatening genetic disease, and congenital defects or have internal or external parasites.  It is guaranteed for a period of 1 week from the time of purchase (Arrival) if a vet has checked the puppy within this time frame from purchase date. After the 1 week has expired the purchaser cannot receive refund if any health issues have occurred that are not caused from congenital defects or genetic diseases. If the puppy dies within the guarantee period, despite medical treatment, compensation will be made ONLY if a veterinarian certifies the cause of death. The breeder will replace the puppy free of charge and give the purchaser first pick of the next litter.

This puppy has a 3 year warranty (from day of birth) against inherited genetic disease or congenital defects, causing death. This does not include conditions or infections such as colds, viruses, parasites, parvo. Distemper, or bacterial infections as these can be contracted anywhere in the environment after leaving the breeders home and are not a result of genetics or breeding. Should the dog die within that time as a direct result of a congenital defect, the dog will be replaced ONLY if an appropriate autopsy is performed by a licensed veterinarian and a vet’s certificate is provided as proof of cause of death. The Breeder will choose the vet as to which the autopsy will be preformed. If the body is being retained at the owner’s vets, they are to forward all vet documentation/information to House of Griffin Kennels’ vet of choice within 48 hours. A replacement will be made of a dog comparable quality, at the discretion of the breeder and will get first pick of the litter as compensation.

‍ ‍

If this puppy is sold with breeding rights, all health testing must be done prior to receiving full rights. This means the dog must have embark panel test done at the minimum, and must not carry any genetic diseases. (Cherry eye, wry jaw, entropion). The dog if female, must also be 24 months of age before breeding.

‍ ‍

If any puppy sold on limited registration is used for mixed breeding or any puppy bred before 20 months of age, will be subjected to fines, $1000 per puppy produced.

‍ ‍ ‍

HARASSMENT: If the buyer at anytime threatens, harasses, slanders, defames the breeder, the guarantee is voided. The contract and any agreements are voided and registration will be revoked. This includes but not limited too: text messages, phone calls, and social media posts.

‍ ‍

The breeder does not support over vaccinations, If the owner misses the window to get the second set of vaccinations and the vet is informing the owner that they must start over the whole 3 sets of vaccinations, the contract will be voided. The owner has control over their own pet and what their needs are, and this is a form of over vaccination as well as the vet trying to make more profit. Once they get their first yearly booster, before getting any more vaccines the owner must do a titer tests due to vaccinations stay in their system for 3-5 years. If a titer test is not done the health guarantee is voided. It is recommended to do a titer test after the first set of puppy vaccines to check the vaccination levels. Over vaccination is a huge issue for the development of allergies, GI issues, cancer, among many other issues.

‍ ‍

The guarantee will be voided if the puppy is socialized outside of their residency before 5 months of age. These areas include and not limited too: dog parks, areas with high volume of dogs, and areas with a high risk of contaminates from dogs, etc.). The puppy needs to build their immune system before they are introduced to these area’s, otherwise you run the risk of them contracting something their immune system can’t fully fight off. This helps puppies not contract certain deadly disease, such as parvo and distemper.

‍ ‍

This contract also will be voided if the puppy has any post altercations done. (early spay/neuter surgery, ear cropping, dewclaw removal or amputations). The contract is voided if the puppy is brought into a household or environment with another dog/puppy that has not had their appropriate shots or shows a certain level of vaccines in their system from doing a titer test done.

‍ ‍

The breeder does not cover hips and elbows as there is too many environmental factors that can affect them, and the breeder has no control over the puppy’s environment once they are in possession of the owner. Your puppy’s joints need to be protected while he/she is still growing. These are some issues that can affect the growth of these joints causing hip and elbow issues.

‍ ‍

  • If the dog is fixed prior to 2 years old

‍ ‍

  • if the dog is exercised such as running for long periods of time or the owner allows the dog to jump from vehicles or promote jumping with play, prior to being 18 months of age or older. Their growth platelets need to close prior to promoting these exercises, which takes up to 18 months of age, otherwise they are vulnerable to injury during this phase of life with running and jumping, which can result in ACL tears, or CCL tears, and play a great impact in the elbow and hip placement as they grown.

‍ ‍

  • Lasty, If the dog is overweight. Too much weight gain can cause strain on the joints and lead to joint, and hip remodeling.

‍ ‍

The breeder is not responsible if the owner wants to get ground transport. Once the puppy has been handed over to the transport company that the owner chose, the breeder is no longer liable as to what happens to the puppy once the transporter takes possession of the said puppy. The breeder will take pictures prior to the puppy being transported to show they are health prior to transferring possession.

‍ ‍

The breeder does not guarantee size, coat colour, undescended testicles. Umbilical hernia, coccidiosis, giardia, and external/internal parasites after leaving the breeder. The breeder will inform the family IF a puppy does have an umbilical hernia or undescended testicles (which can be repaired during spay/neuter surgery), and it will be the buyers discretion if they choose to take said puppy and will be the owner’s responsibility to repair those issues.

This contract is legally binding to all parties involved. Purchaser is liable if they breach this contract for any court costs, and related charges, including attorney’s fees that are associated with the breeders enforcing the term of this contract.
